Soil Data - Milton Monzonite
The Milton Basalt Intrusion is a rich heavy soil produced by the underlying monzonite rock which would have supported a tall forest of Forest Red Gum and other Eucalypts with a grassy or tussock understorey as well as subtropical rainforest.
Soil Testing for Improve Soil and Pasture Management
In 2011, the Small Farms Network supported landholders across the catchment to participate in a soil testing program and a Monzonite Soils day examining the results of the samples. Twenty-three soil tests were taken over 8 farms which provided an excellent sample in time of the Monzonite soil under different farm management strategies.
